The Ladyhill, Singapore is one place which can be described as a haven of calm and peace in the heart of the city. It is a limited edition development, consisting of 7 four-storey blocks housing 55 units of 4-5 bedrooms. Set on one hectare of freehold land it is located on the prestigious address of 1 Ladyhill Road.
Constructed in 2001-2002 it was one of the most luxurious residential developments in Singapore at that time. It was designed while keeping in mind Singapore’s most discerning and affluent people.
The condominium is a mid-rise development located on the site of the former Ladyhill Hotel in close proximity to Orchard Road. The prevailing character of the site determined the layout, which consists of two parallel, four-storey terrace blocks facing a central, linear landscaped courtyard.
Considering it would be home to high-end occupants, only the best of the best features were incorporated into the development. Each apartment was fitted out in marble, semi-precious stone, granite and teak floors, and overlooking a private and exclusive garden.
Other features included an infinity pool, a function room, a gym, car parking and a tranquil lotus pond which ran the length of development.
Designed by the leading architectural firm SCDA, Singapore, it has the distinctive mark of the renowned principal architect Soo K. Chan. A wonderful example of contemporary architecture, the design focuses on creating an experience with clean lines, lush greenery and an abundance of open space while using finest materials in the simplest and most understated ways.
